Yumiko
Tomobe (Miko) was born in Mito City, Japan in 1979. She studied Printmaking
at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Miko has been organizing exhibitions and exhibiting her work all over the world. In February 2005, she had her first solo exhibition Denatural at Medialia... Rack and hamper Gallery, New York, NY. Her recent organized exhibitions are: Import - Export (International emerging printmakers) at Art Works Gallery, Mito City, Japan in 2004, American Medallic Sculpture Association Members Show at The Donnell Public Library Center, New York, NY in 2002. Her recent selected group shows are: The Boston Printmakers 2005 North American Print Biennial, at 808 Gallery Boston University, Boston, MA in 2005, Fidem XXIX Art Medal World Congress, Seixal, Portugal in 2004, Roots of Drawings, Medialia... She has collaborated in book projects with her friends and has worked on projects with musicians doing record artwork. Her recent interests are nature study and people with plants. |
